Women's Month has been celebrated at Virginia Tech since 1995 reflecting a campus commitment to recognize and honor women's experiences, achievements, and diversity. Women’s Month also gives us the opportunity to examine the ways in which we think about others and ourselves. Each year, the Women’s Center, together with the Women’s Month Advisory Committee, coordinates a month of March filled with programs and events sponsored by offices, departments, and organizations throughout the university and community. The 2011 Women's Month at Virginia Tech preparations are underway and the Call for Program Submissions will be announced on the 15th of November 2010. If you or your department/organization is planning a program in March aligned with the philosophy of Women's Month, we encourage you to submit your event for inclusion in the calendar. Remember to check the Women's Center website at www.womenscenter.vt.edu on November 15th for instructions on submitting your program proposal!
