Job Description
Could you give Britain’s bestselling women’s fiction writer a makeover?
How would you like to design Marian Keyes’ next book cover? Or find the right jacket for Kathryn Stockett’s new novel.
Penguin is looking for a new Deputy Art Director to manage design across some of the biggest women’s fiction brands in publishing. Whether it is India Knight or Lesley Pearse; Jane Green or Elizabeth Noble, you’ll be able to design the perfect cover for our authors.
We are looking for original ideas and fresh approaches for all our women’s fiction. So your contact book of new illustrators and freelance talent must be bulging. Your creative thinking and problem solving must be second to none.
Your portfolio will also contain many bestselling mass-market titles. You must be able to work with high-profile authors and agents and combine strong project-management skills with an excellent commercial sense.
If you’ve got all this, and a little something extra up your sleeve, we want to hear from you.
Please apply with a CV and covering letter, with samples of your work attached to either document.
Closing date will be Friday 19th November 2010.
