Dining Editor for Dispatch Printing Company's Niche Publications

Post date: 11 November 2010
Dining Editor

We’re looking for a foodie who loves to write as much as they love to eat.

The Dispatch Printing Company’s Niche Publications division seeks a Dining Editor to lead our coverage of Columbus’ vibrant restaurant scene, managing all editorial content for a daily website and new quarterly magazine. The Dining Editor will also serve as a restaurant reviewer for The Columbus Dispatch, This Week Community Newspapers, Alive, Capital Style magazine and other company publications. In addition to writing, the Dining Editor will assign articles to staff and freelancer reviewers and will work with editors to coordinate coverage across publications.

The Dining Editor will serve as an expert on Columbus restaurants, and maintain a daily presence on the web while connecting with readers via social media tools. And above all, the Dining Editor will have fun, because eating out should be entertaining, and sharing that passion with readers should be as satisfying as a great meal.

The ideal candidate will have outstanding writing and editing abilities, a broad knowledge of food and the local dining scene, and the ability to identify trends and topics relevant to target audiences. Must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and three to five years of professional writing or editing experience at a magazine or newspaper.
