A new crafts site is interested in finding a lead blogger who can help establish the voice of its editorial and develop its audience. We're searching for someone who can balance optimizing content for search engines with a personable, culturally relevant voice that keeps readers coming back. The tone of the site will be informative, inclusive and occasionally humorous. An appreciation for the kind of content that works well on social media outlets (Facebook, Stumbleupon) is definitely a plus. While this is freelance and part-time job that will only take two or so hours a day, your role may grow with the site, including editing other writers' work. Interacting with readers and members of the community will also be a regular responsibility.
Qualifications include:-- At least two years of experience writing about crafts online.
-- A knack for working on your own and being a self-starter.
-- Experience negotiating traffic-trading deals with partner sites.
-- Detail oriented and the ability to edit your own work.
-- Excellent communication skills
-- Ability to generate numerous story ideas and complete them.
Interested applicants should send their resume and clips to craftsblogger@gmail.com. Compensation is consummate with experience.
