The project « Innovative Practices of decentralization, local development and women’s empowerment » by UNOPS’ Universitas Programme in collaboration with IDRC, UNIFEM’s MyDEL program, UNHabitat and the Huairou Commission, aims to develop material for use in policy fora and as educational material for university teaching and professional development related to gender and local development. As part of this initiative, Universitas Forum will publish two special thematic publications: one on decentralization, local governance and women’s rights; the second on local development and women’s empowerment.
Individuals, organizations and community groups that wish to submit experiences for consideration in these publications should do so by December 1, 2010 using the template on the website (see also documents attached).
