JOB DESCRIPTION:
Tenure track Assistant Professor of English to teach linguistics and an area of British Literature at the undergraduate and graduate levels in a student-focused department. The successful candidate will contribute to three growing programs: the BA and MA in English, and the PhD in rhetoric. Ability to teach Medieval or 18th Century British literature helpful. Responsibilities include teaching a range of courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, scholarly publication, service, and mentoring students. Interest in teaching online desirable. QUALIFICATIONS:
PhD in English, linguistics, rhetoric or closely related field required.

DEPARTMENTAL INFORMATION:
English, Speech and Foreign Languages serves undergraduate English majors and General Studies students with an emphasis in English; MA students in English; and PhD students in Rhetoric as well as a wide range of students seeking to complete Core requirements in English, Speech, Spanish, and French.
