Honoring Programming For Women, By Women and About Women

Rules

1. Entries must have aired for the first time between December 1, 2009 and November 30, 2010.
2. We will accept television entries on DVD only. VHS cassettes or Beta tapes will not be accepted. The readability of the DVD is the responsibility of the entrant. Only one copy is required per entry.
3. Radio entries must be submitted on CD only. The readability of the CD is the responsibility of the entrant. Only one copy is required per entry.
4. Digital Media entries must be submitted via printed materials, DVD or CD, and if applicable, include the Web site address. All digital media entries are classified as national market with appropriate entry fee. The readability of the DVD and/or CD is the responsibility of the entrant. Only one copy is required per entry.
5. Entries indentifying with the Online/Internet classifications must have been produced exclusively for the Internet. These entries must be submitted via DVD or CD. The readability of the DVD and/or CD is the responsibility of the entrant. Only one copy is required per entry.
6. Foreign language entries must be submitted in English or accompanied by English translations or transcripts.
7. All entries must be clearly labeled with the submitting entity and entry title.
8. All entries must be edited and cued to the start of the edited program material. You are encouraged to submit edited entries. If the entry is not edited, the judges will view only eight to twenty minutes based on the total running time of the program. (see rules 8 & 9)
9. Entries of programs that are less than 30 minutes should include no more than eight minutes of the program and should contain clips from no more than three different episodes. Time limits are strictly enforced.
10. Entries of programs that are 30 minutes or longer should submit no more than 20 minutes of the program and should contain clips from no more than three different episodes. Time limits are strictly enforced.
11. Entries will be judged with other entries of the same classification. For example, Local/Markets 26+ will compete with other Local/Markets 26+. Judges may switch an entry to another category. Judges may also decline to give an award in a category or classification.
12. Entries may be submitted in more than one category; however, each category designated constitutes a separate entry requiring a separate tape, completed entry form and entry fee for each category in which an entry is to be judged. You may send a cover letter along with payment to cover the total number of entries.
13. Each entry must have a completed entry form and appropriate payment. Entries will not be accepted without receipt of payment. A payment receipt is automatically emailed to the address provide when payment is processed.
14. Due to the large number received, entries cannot be returned.
15. If you would like acknowledgment of receipt of your entry, please enclose a self-addressed, stamped postcard. Entries must be received by January 7, 2011.
16. AWM reserves the right to rebroadcast portions of your submission during the live awards program; therefore, by submitting your program you agree to this use.
