Call for Stories: The Gathering "Romance" Issue

Post date: 20 September 2010
Deadline: until filled

Volume Five- Volume Five has a tentative release date of Fall 2011. The theme for this issue is Romance and stories will be of varying length. Creators working with us for the first time will be limited to 2 pages. Creators who have worked with us in the past can recommend a page count in their pitch (between 2-5 pages)

Submission Details

Writers- Please email the volume you want to work on and a short description of your idea with a suggested page count if applicable. Full plots and scripts are not wanted at this point. Two to three sentences about your story is all we need. If you are interested in submitting ideas for more than one volume you may do so, just follow the guidelines listed for each issue.

Artists- Please email me a couple examples of your work. Sequential art preferred but not necessary. Internal pages are in black and white so keep that in mind. Also include a preference for which types of themes you would be interested in working on so you can be matched up appropriately with a writer.

Artist/Writers- Follow the guidelines for both.

Guidelines- The Gathering is an ‘All Ages’ title and we’re looking for material that reflects that. Darker and mature themes are fine (as our light hearted and cheery) but language, gore and sexual content should be on a level suitable for readers of all ages.

While we can not pay contributors to The Gathering at this time, creators who have their work featured in The Gathering will retain sole ownership of their characters.

Submissions should be sent to Andrew Goletz at gatheringanthology@hotmail.com

Submissions are open as of now and will remain open until the creative teams for these volumes are set.
