The Independent Women Scholars seeks personal narratives and life stories from women about their dissertation conflicts and challenges. Worst case scenarios are preferred. Women from all academic and discipline backgrounds are encouraged to submit. We will return all essays that are not accepted and will contact those whose personal narratives are accepted for permission before inclusion. Pseudonyms are acceptable and confidentiality is assured. Narratives should be 500-2000 words in length.
